We live in a modern-day world that many of my students see as complex, difficult, and just utterly confusing. They struggle with their personal identities and are having a hard time navigating through such concepts as poverty, kindness, respect, history, and identity. My 6th graders are transitioning from 5th to Middle School and have enjoyed not being in the same class all day. The 7th grade class is large but dynamic and eager to learn. 8th graders are on the verge of transitioning to High School and will be ready to take on the world. There are approx 90 students in the Middle School with diverse ethnicities and backgrounds/situations. They seem to enjoy learning and I feel are on the verge of becoming amazing, exceptional, and awesome in their future High School careers and in life.
