We are requesting an iPad and case students will use with interactive learning activities and to research topics independently and collaboratively.
With this iPad, students will be able to begin to investigate, collaborate, sing and dance their way through learning right away. Students will have the opportunity to use the resources from the iPad to collaborate with others through whole class, small groups and individual learning experiences. It provides opportunities through interactive experiences that help facilitate and support all learning styles.
We will begin with the implementation of activities that explore their letters and sounds during ELA and phonics instructions and incorporate activities at center time too. Moreover, we are a global school and providing engaging and virtual ways for students to learn about other countries supports a more concrete understanding of the world around them.
Students will be able to explore animals and their habitats and utilize the information to research and write nonfiction facts about animals. Furthermore, kindergarten students often struggle with understanding abstract concepts. Technology provides exploration in a light that is unique for little learners and the opportunities for this iPad to be incorporated into more areas of learning are endless.
