The books that I am requesting for my students are both engaging and relative. I have students from all different backgrounds and I want them to look through our classroom library and find books they can relate, and books that make them think about the larger world around them.
Each day students spend time reading books from our classroom library. I want them to be able to see books about people just like them, books about imaginative worlds, books that make them think.
Reading should be something every child has the chance to fall in love with. By funding this project, you will be helping a classroom of children have the opportunity to diversify their reading and exposure to books.
