My students love to play musical instruments. It's such a unique and special experience. They work so hard learning music theory, and having an instrument in their hands brings the experience full circle. Playing a musical instrument enhances fine motor skills, gives confidence, and gives students an alternate way to express themselves. A ukulele is a very practical instrument to learn to play. It is small and easy to carry. In addition, learning to play a ukulele teaches skills that can be transferred to guitar and other orchestral instruments later in life. Learning to play ukulele is an experience that students will remember for years to come.
