These materials are essential to the creation of art with varied mediums. Students will be using these pencils, pastels, and paper to exercise their creative minds while experimenting with all that the art world has to offer them: blending oil pastels to create rich, smooth color, layering chalk pastel to create depth and form, and even adding some pizazz to snowflakes using metallic pencils. I am teaching my students to be creative, both in and out of the classroom. Creativity will make the difference in the way my students choose to face difficulties, solve problems, and even invent the future as the grow. These materials will allow me to further enhance their creativity, inspire them with a love of the arts, and help them to feel the freedom that childhood usually allows.
