Beginning sounds and alphabet manipulation can be hard for kindergarteners, because of this I want to create alphabet stations to grab their attention and give them hands on learning experiences. My bilingual students will benefit from these alphabet, words and numbers materials to practice some the skills they need to master during kindergarten. Such skills developed faster with hands on centers for the alphabet and numbers so they can learn at their own speed and independently while they practice. They will use the beginning sound boxes for the alphabet to repeat the sound and see and touch objects. My students will manipulate these resources and learn the alphabet. All these materials will enhance their learning daily and give my kindergarteners the opportunity to enjoy their learning. A positive experience will make the difference in their learning.
For kindergartens instructions such as counting and one to one correspondence can be difficult to practice in a paper so with the counters they will have access to different child and curriculum based created materials to practice these skills. Along with the alphabet manipulative to practice ending and beginning sounds at their own pace daily.
