The ten picture books selected will help students realize many aspects of life. Students will benefit from hearing these books socially and emotionally. Lessons in these books will include. topics like:
1. It's okay to make mistakes and sometimes a mistake is the birth of something greater.
2. All children have a story and that the story is their own.
It might not be the best story, but it's okay because it's their story.
3. Life will knock you down, but you have to get back up and experience your own journey.
4. All children are challenged to try new things in school. It will be hard, but you won't know if the challenge can be conquered unless you try!
