My students learn the best when they are actively engaged with the materials we are learning about.
The products I want to implement in my classroom will help my students learn and hone skills in problem solving, collaboration, and spatial awareness.
These skills are then transferred to traditional classroom learning, and the students will have less of a hard time with difficult problem sets because they have engaged in problem solving scenarios with their STEM products.
Furthermore, the students will be fostering a curiosity for engineering and creating which will continue on through school and ideally build up an interest for STEM careers. We will use these materials as early finisher activities and centers during math.
