This outdoor sitting area will be used to further develop the students fine motor manipulative skills. Currently we have two outdoor tables in fair condition. Unfortunately we have no matching chairs, whatever chairs we have are rundown and mismatched, making this area uninviting and not very appealing to our students. I am confident that adding four new chairs will transform our outdoor learning experience and our students will gravitate towards this outdoor center.
During outside centers, our students will be exposed to a variety of age appropriate activities to improve their hand-eye coordination, for example: puzzles, lacing, beading, building (LEGO, building blocks), just to name a few. Our goal is to ensure that our preschool students acquire the essential skills for them to successfully enter kindergarten.
