Many of my art lessons start with a good book, I love introducing my students to different authors and illustrators! Its a wonderful way to stoke creativity. I can't wait to see the kid's faces with they see Dali's Surrealism! These books will help my student enter worlds of art and artists they have never seen before! Henri's Scissors is such a creative book I will use kindergartner and 1st graders to work on cutting out shapes, the students will enjoy seeing this books with its many examples of organic shapes. Students will be inspired by Henri Matisse's art work throughout the book.
