New books, and a variety of them, allow for our students to enjoy reading rather than see it as a bore. Finding one book that they love is all it takes, and it becomes, "Why do we have to read?" to "Can I check this book out?"
Seeing the joy that the library brings to students on a daily basis makes it imperative for us as a school to keep it stocked with the best books for our kids. These books are used for our early learners - phonic books and early readers - to emerging readers - Dr. Suess, Fly Guy, Elephant the Piggie - to pleasure reading.
The goal is to have all students show off the books their reading to their teachers, friends and families. Hopefully the school will become one giant book club!
