My goal is to create a social-emotional learning library in my classroom. I will use these books to drive lessons about self management, social awareness, and responsible decision making. Students will also have access to these books for independent reading. I believe that a social emotional learning library will not only generate immediate outcomes in the classroom; it will help build skills that are vital for lifelong success. Research shows that SEL even has a positive impact on test scores and learning. I am so excited about the opportunity to empower my students through the use of this incredible collection of texts.
