My adaptive PE students will be able use the adult tricycle to work on motor skills. They have a variety of disabilities and this will be a piece of equipment to help them cardiovascularly as well as to develop a variety of motor skills.
Students will be able to work on movement patterns riding the tricycle around the playground. We can also use sidewalk chalk to create a road for the student to work on following directions. Riding tricycles also require balance, coordination and requires use of core muscles. Most of our kids have not been on a tricycle since they were little, it will be great for them to relive their younger days.
