During independent work times students will choose a location in the room to better fit their needs. Flexible seating will help students be able to focus and feel more comfortable! If a student can feel comfortable I believe they will accomplish more. If students are given an option where they want to work, I feel they will be more engaged! The desk/chair combination gives students a choice to sit at a different location, if they are struggling at their desk. Students can also use the desk/chairs to work in small groups at a more comfortable/fun location. The comfortable floor chairs can be used for any reason a struggling student might need. Chair balls can be used at any student desk throughout the room to help with wiggles. The chair cushions can be used to help students with sensory issues. All the items on my list are great to use in a classroom with students needing sensory and movement needs! My class is in need of these supplies.
