We use watercolor paint and paper to create many projects. One of them is our"Under the Sea" scene featuring green turtles, butterfly fish and flying fish. Our art integrates art with science and writing when we add an "Artist Statement" about the work. Mid year we will study Paul Klee and draw Machines with moving parts which also make music! This is a value study which connects to Music and Writing as we write an Artist Statement to help discover our writing voice and style.
Our projects teach students about value, line, texture and space/perspective. We are also being economical and eco-friendly using refillable watercolor paints in reusable pain trays.
