In order for my students to truly understand the concepts that we are learning, it is essential to have differentiation strategies used in our classroom. Differentiation is a huge key to my students success. Having these post-it easels would allow a space for my students to work collaboratively. As an educator, I've come to learn that students work best when they are all able contribute and bring personal knowledge to our collective table. Mind maps, two/three column tables, and other forms of graphic organizers are essentials to deconstructing, analyzing, and reconstructing hard concepts like theme, point of view, and author's meaning.
