I am requesting iPad stands which will allow students to easily check the library catalog for books that are available. I would place iPads in the stand and link the iPad directly to our school's library catalog. iPad stands would allow me to leave out iPads for students to have quick access to the library catalog where they can search by title, author, or subject to find a book that is just right for them. Currently, students have to log on to a computer, connect to the internet, and then find the school's homepage to connect to the library catalog. Library time is limited. It is physically impossible for me to help all students find the right book in one class period. Having easy access to the catalog will increase each student's opportunity to find the perfect book of his/her choice.
