I am a brand new Spanish specials teacher. I see about 900 students, from pre-kindergarten to 6th grade, each week for a basic introduction to the Spanish language and the cultures that use it. My room is on the lower level and inside corridor with tile floors.
We really need a comfortable, warm place to sit for story and learning time. I am asking for a large area rug with Spanish phrases, numbers, and colors to fulfill that need. We also need more adjustable, kinder lighting for the times we use electronics or the projector. The floor and desk lamps, in addition to the special daylight bulbs, will create a safe, well-lit, (but not too bright) learning space.
Finally, I am asking for table buckets to make supply distribution easier and more manageable and to keep supplies organized. This will allow us to use more of our limited time for learning.
