I utilize many putty, fidget, and sensory toys to calm my students when they need a break or are struggling. I also teach students to use these tools to stay focused and calm in the classroom. Many special needs students, especially those with emotional and behavior disabilities, need these strategies and tools in order to be successful in the classroom. They also need structured breaks throughout the day to give their brain a break and their body a chance to move. These amazing fidgets and sensory items are so great! Students can use them to quietly fidget and it does not cause any disturbances to the instruction or peers around them.
