My students would use Chromebooks to maximize their learning experiences in small group reading and math. There are so many fun websites to practice mastering our standards, and students are unable to use them because of the lack of technology. With the state test looming in April, I love using sites that allow my students to prepare in a fun way. I would also love to utilize technology in math centers. My students struggle with their addition and subtraction facts. I have found several websites that will allow them to practice this online, rather than just through using flashcards.
Students have become a technology-dependent generation, and we, as schools, must use this to our advantage.
Chromebooks will allow students to practice their reading and math skills in real-world ways!
Students will use their Chromebooks to master standards in a fun way, play games that reinforce the special topic or skill being taught, practice for the state test, etc, all while teaching basic computer skills! They will also use this technology to practice and master various math concepts and skills.
