These supplies with make a difference with my students' learning because they will feel like they have their own supplies (which they can't afford) and try harder because their marker works well or their pencil has an eraser. They will not interrupt our classroom learning to whine about not having a pencil, eraser, working highlighter or marker. As unimportant as this seems it really makes a student feel good about themselves and makes them proud to have their own things instead of borrowing. Students can't do much in school without supplies so having the necessary items each day will not only make their life better but mine as a teacher as well.
