Librarians have taken on an important role of furthering STEM education. We collaborate with teachers to build literacy-focused STEM lessons for students K-12. As a librarian I want to integrate technology into the library program by bringing new and innovative STEM tools. These tools will open up a whole new world of opportunities for students.
Robotics and coding in the classroom inspire young engineers. It helps improve children's logical thinking and creativity skills. Students will assemble robots to their own unique style. They will also learn easy entry level graphic programming to control different functions of their robot.
Students will be challenged to write and create unique codes to maneuver their robots. They will need to program them to go around obstacles and follow complex line formations. With multiple robots, we can create robot combats. The ideas are endless!
