The children love to pretend to imitate everyday experiences and routines.. They get to express their feelings and are excited to show their knowledge of the world. Dramatic play gives them an avenue to share their cultural differences. Through dramatic play, their communication takes on a life. The exchange of language helps them to grow a shared understanding of rules in everyday experiences. Skills in self-regulation and memory grows there school readiness. Dramatic play helps development of abstract thinking and imagination.
