A high quality TV and Sound Bar allow the students in my Special Ed classroom to access quality multimedia. My students would benefit from clear and readable closed captioning and Documentaries/films in a higher quality visual output. The ability to demonstrate the use of technology and its applications in real life would build life skills. In my class they will have to write persuasive essays, participate in civil arguments and determine where they stand on a topic as well as compare movies to literature. Having a TV to access the news and current events and productions as a class will drive discussion and learning. The goal is to teach the next generation of adults how to make informed decisions and get involved in the world outside the classroom.
