My students attend school in a low income, high poverty school district. Most of their parents work at least two jobs. Although my students want to learn to read, it is challenging for them because there are not many books around them to experience the joy and wonder of reading. I want to provide this opportunity by having a comprehensive and leveled library in my classroom that students can safely and easily access.
