Reading is such a struggle for the students in my class. Of my fourteen students, only two of them are excited to delve into ELA rotations.
Having a dedicated area or spot in which to read will keep them focused, engaged, and excited about developing those necessary phonics skills so they can be lifelong readers! It will encourage my students to become motivated to read, and to reach their reading goals.
The furniture will add a welcoming element to the classroom, and will give extra incentives to students who want to sit elsewhere.
In addition, the extra seating will make it possible for my active students to focus on completing their work.
