Having a variety of books in the classroom will inspire students to to fall in love with reading. They will learn to be brave like Harry Potter and a risk-taker like Rosa Parks.
Classroom library books provide equal opportunities for students to be exposed to all types of literature. All students will be able to choose books that interest them with characters that look like them. The best way to become a better reader is to read a wide variety of books! My classroom library is a place where students have total control and they can choose the adventure they want to go on from Narnia to the American Revolution. The books in the classroom library are treated with love and care by each and every student.
The students in my classroom have already shown a love of reading and we need to foster that by providing them with all types of books. This project will only help by providing them to books they might not otherwise have access to.
