The value of art activities for children with special needs can't be overemphasized!
They provide all young children, but especially children with special needs with an outlet for creativity and expression that supports and enhances learning.
Many children with delays have sensory needs and require motivation and incentive to participate in fun rewarding group activities.
Being able to provide art supplies that are fun and bright is very engaging and increases focus and also encourages skills such as following directions, modeling an activity or action, and participating in a teacher led group activity with peers.
