The students I see in my counseling office come to me with little to no social skills (eye contact, feelings recognition, self-regulation techniques), having an iPad in my office with greatly benefit these students so they can utilize many of the fantastic, evidence-based apps available for teaching social skills.
This, along with role-playing, will set my students up with the skills they need to be successful in school and out! Children are very familiar with technology when they come to school, so it is easy for them to use an iPad to learn while having fun as well.
