Hello everyone! I am opening up a new 8:1:2 Pre-K classroom for students with disabilities as PS 138. I would like to provide my students with a safe and welcoming environment and I am lacking a great deal of resources. My project is for a few classroom basics, such as a pocket charts to aid in conducting our Morning Meeting and display our daily schedule. Mats would also be great for the children to sleep on during nap time. I also do not have a lot of toys, so I have a few toy items listed as well.
Children with disabilities often require a great deal of routine and structure and the items requested would allow me to provide them with both.
Many of these students have never been in school before and I want the classroom to be a comfortable setting for them. I currently only have a couple of bookshelves with a few toys. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
