This is a passion project to give back to an educator who has given so much to her students, colleagues, and school community.
Ms. Lesley has been a teacher at UJH for over 20 years. Due to a personal life-changing situation, she needed to take an emergency leave of absence. Ms. Lesley is a good human. She is a dedicated mother of four children, is active in her church community, and volunteers her time to various causes. Ms. Lesley is a great teacher, sister, friend, and colleague to those of us who have been blessed to have her in our lives.
With your help, we will be able to renovate Ms. Lesley’s classroom.
Student Project Goals:
1. Renovate Ms. Lesley’s classroom with an Afrocentric and college-centered theme.
2. Assist in the cleanup and reorganization of Ms. Lesley’s classroom.
3. Collaborate and work together to accomplish various tasks and goals.
4. Research and complete projects and presentations related to Black History Month and the renovation project.
5. Document the transformation with multimedia (videos, photos, etc.).
