In my classroom, I have learners of all levels. By having access to the VersaTiles in my classroom, this can be an effective enrichment activity for my "early finishers" or students that need a little extra beyond what is in the lesson plan. These work so well at helping students gain independence because they are a self-checking system. Once the student knows how to operate the VersaTiles system, we can use them with Math and Science-based ideas, and even literacy if the need presents itself.
These materials would help foster independent student learning and growth in the classroom, a key component in gaining confidence in problem-solving! Once a student has the confidence to try something new, they will be more likely to ask those questions and formulate a response or take risks with new learning. VersaTiles promotes all these traits we are looking for our students to develop in the classroom.
