I am a new Librarian at a school that has previously not had a strong Library/Media Program. I worked hard this summer to transform the library into a welcoming and productive learning space. Our school district was kind enough to upgrade the computer lab for the students which means our system can now handle coding, robotics, and even Minecraft! However, the furniture in the Media Center did not get upgraded and the chairs in the computer lab are old and literally on their last legs. I've done my best to shore them up with additional brackets but they are still falling apart.
My students need chairs that will wiggle with them without falling apart! We've already had two students this year fall from leaning the chairs back and breaking them but with wobble stools this would no longer happen. The wobble stools would help keep the students engaged at their computers while giving them the freedom to move without fear of falling due to a broken chair. Please help us control our wiggle while still utilizing the amazing technology we've been afforded!
