Kindergarten is the most magical year of school with the most inquisitive students. It is a time of fairytales and dragons, superheroes and princesses, wonder and curiosity. Every day is an adventure and an opportunity to connect students to the great big world. As a kindergarten teacher, I believe my job is to provide opportunities that allow students to see and be a part of the world around them.
A journey through the Tennessee Aquarium will inspire wonder, curiosity, and appreciation for the natural world. Recent studies have proven that students need learning experiences outside the classroom. Students living in poverty are less likely to have these experiences if schools do not provide them. Empower students to be enlightened by nature while exploring river waters and ocean wonders through this interactive educational program. It is time to get out of the classroom and move the classroom to the Aquarium.
