We use our classroom carpet as a meeting place first thing every morning. This is where we talk about our feelings, share things with our friends, and discuss what our day will look like. We listen to wonderful stories as a group here.
We begin many lessons on the carpet when transitioning throughout the day. We use this space to work with partners. This is an area where everyone has a spot, everyone feels welcome, and a lot of learning and relationship building take place. The carpet provides a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere to the classroom, inviting the students into the classroom daily.
