The right tools, where we need them and when we need them! I've selected specific books that will help students build crucial social emotional skills to overcome challenges both now and in the future. This is especially important as they come out of pandemic limitations that have impacted their young lives. Each book has been chosen with my students in mind- considering their needs, diversities, home languages and social skill levels.
Students with strong social skills are more motivated and better prepared to overcome challenges will they face both at school and at home now and in the future. Our classroom library will be enriched by these books which will provide me, their teacher, with more tools to jumpstart students' paths to success!
Individual students will be able to choose books in our quiet area as needed or listen as I read to the class introducing important concepts for building their social emotional competency before they begin kindergarten. Having them as a part of our library will offer a readily available resource rather than waiting to see IF we can get them from our community library. The right tools, where we need them and when we need them! Thank you for considering contributing to this important project.
