We are requesting a sensory table with animal toys and water beads. This sensory table will help my students that have disabilities. The sensory table is a staple in special education classrooms. It will help to give them the ability to help control their sensory needs. This is a very important milestone in a young child's life. Having this tool will make a difference with their social skills as well.
It can be difficult for special needs students to form friendships when they do not have the tools they need to be calm. Giving my students the ability to calm their own emotions is key to their success at school. It will help to build their self esteem. This is very important for students with special needs.
