The books purchased will be included in our classroom library. Books will be accessible for students so that they can read across genres and cultures. Giving students books will promote their love of reading, increase stamina, and increase volume in reading. Students will be able to have book talk conversations, connect text to world issues and understand different heritage. Along with reading books, students will research topics of interest driven by their book choice, in hopes of an “avalanche of reading”. Books will become purposeful which permeates beyond the classroom.
