These supplies would be great to keep my students from feeling hungry in the classroom. When they are hungry, they are not available for learning. Recent studies have shown that 10% of New Hampshire youth live in food insecure homes. Also for the cold and flu season, I would like to prevent as many colds as I can, by having a clean classroom. Along side food scarcity, something as simple as not being able to afford cough and cold medication has the potential of keeping students out of school. The less my students miss school, the more I am able to teach them.
