My students are the best kids in the world. Our school is a public school that has a 61% ratio of free and reduced students. Many of our students are from military families, some from foster homes, and others live in single family homes or with grandparents. All deserve to have a wide selection of books to choose from. By finding books in a series they like, it keeps them encouraged and motivated to continue reading. It is always good to see the face of a child when they are excited about choosing their next book. For many of my students, reading takes them to places and on adventures they may never experience otherwise. The school may be the only experience that a student has with a library, and I want to be able to meet their needs and expectations.
