These materials will be used daily in the classroom. Students will be working independently and collaboratively when they use them. Students will be very excited to use these materials, it will help ignite their passion for learning! Being a Title 1 school, we have many needs for the classroom and our children. The headphones will be used for them to listen to read alouds of books. This will help them increase their own reading levels since they hear the text being read correctly. The Scholastic News will be used as reading material. Scholastic News aligns to the Illinois Common Core State Standards so it will support our learning targets and areas we focus on. The online component of Scholastic News helps strengthen understanding.
