Two of my students have some form of visual impairment. This can make learning a bit more difficult at times. Using a light table can help provide the needed contrast which helps children with tracking and helps develop an awareness of color and objects. Having the light table tray will allow us to use a variety of materials for our children to explore and learn.
The light table and tray will allow my students to explore their world in a new way while developing and improving skills such as hand-eye coordination and recognition of objects. My students will be able to work on recognizing and naming numbers and letters, as well as sorting out colors, shapes, and other objects.
