I teach at a low-income school in an inner-city neighborhood in Miami FL. I try my best to give all of my student's meaningful learning opportunities. I believe that students learn best through hands-on experiences and through play. I am a first-year teacher so I am trying to fill my classroom with fun ways for my students to learn that meets all of their needs.
One of our favorite times of the day in my classroom is "engineering time" which is done at the end of the day. My students always ask me "When can I be an engineer?"
The tools and activities purchased in these projects will help make my classroom a positive learning environment as well as make my students excited to learn.
