With an up to date Cricut machine my students can learn life skills and employment skills. They can make signs, shirts and such to donate to the community and parents. They can transfer this skill into the real world after school. They can get a job helping someone make homemade projects. They will learn communication skills as well. They will need to be able to talk to their peers and the public to see what sort of project they would like.
I can also use this project to make simple communication boards for the non-verbal community in the school. We can cut out pictures and words so they can point to what they want or what someone else would like for them to design.
