It’s no secret that mindfulness is a cornerstone of successful individuals. From Fortune 500 companies to wellness efforts worldwide, mindfulness is on the forefront of making healthier, happier, more productive individuals. These supplies will help me and my students in implementing mindfulness and social emotional learning in the classroom. I have recently started “Mindfulness Mondays” in my classroom. We integrate various strategies: meditating, breathing techniques, journaling, uplifting videos, quotes, commmunity circles, class discussions, mindful coloring, and team building. The students look forward to it every week and ask for extra “Mindful Moments” when they encounter tough days throughout the week. I always tell my students “we can’t pour from an empty cup” so here’s to helping me fill back up my student’s cups so they can continue to thrive.
