In our classroom students are required to do a minimum of 60 minutes per week on a computer program called iReady and Lexia. These programs promote growth and diagnostic results in subjects such as reading and math. Education is constantly changing and these programs help students to be up to date and on level.
Technology in our classroom is very important. I have seen success in my students through using these programs and with the new technology they will be able to be successful in completing the programs.
By donating to my project for an iPad and a Microsoft - Surface Pro touch screen, my students will have the up to date technology needed to be able to complete the online programs in addition to teacher led lessons. They will no longer have to worry about the technology working or not so they can get their supplemental lessons in.
