I have chosen a variety of level, type, and genre of books for students. By offering diverse choices from my classroom library, students have a better chance of finding a book they like and will read from cover to cover. From graphic novels to social issues, readers will have a better selection from which to choose. Students will become more engaged in class which will improve their reading skills. The books will be used as independent choice novels for independent reading time. My students have shown a great interest in reading this year. This project will increase their reading skills by offering diverse book titles.
