So many of my students do not have access to a computer at home. While we could all use a laptop, a tablet with a keyboard is the most affordable and next best thing! These tablets will be used to develop group projects, experiments, and conduct research. They will be their resource and link to the larger world (even though the tablets themselves will never leave my room!). The opportunity for classroom engagement, as well as interaction with the scientific community, will go up exponentially. Hopefully, over time, we will be able to collect more tablets for the cause, but for now we will be appreciative of what we get! Interactive games, quizzes, STEM programs, virtual field trips, videos, and things that we think are in every classroom nowadays are sadly lacking in our district. I want to give these amazing students the resources they need to be the amazing scientists and students that they have shown me they want to be!
