The use of a document reader is a daily routine in every classroom. In my virtual classroom, I use it basically for everything. I use it to model how to write letters, numbers, how to color, draw lines, cut, to flash numbers, or letters. I use it to read books, reading practice, and when we use math manipulatives. There are endless uses for such an important technology.
Now that everything is online, I rely heavily on a document reader to show my students how to do things, from holding a pencil to writing words, to counting beans. When in-person, students love to bring their work up and have it display on the screen. They feel proud and important when everybody can see their work.
