As a first year teacher I have tried to fill our class library, but I need some help! I have found that the books in our library are keys to helping students develop a love of learning. In our class students get to pick out new books daily that they are interested in and that are at their reading level. They love reading! In fact, I had a student tell me today as he put a book back on the shelf, "I am going to miss this one". These new books would give students more reading options to connect with and love at their individualized reading level. This is important because students need to feel confident as they read independently. The books will help them become life long readers!

About my class
